SPECIFICATION ENGINEER (NON STRUCTURAL)

What's the Role? The purpose of the role is to provide technical advice and educate assigned customers on Hilti’s products, software, and services.
The role involves providing technical advice to architects and engineers in order to secure specifications early in the design process.
The job holder is responsible for focus project specification of Hilti products, software and services, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions.

What does the role involve? • Visiting assigned engineering and architectural firms, customer offices and construction projects on a regularly to identify opportunities to specify and use Hilti software, services and products.
• Conducting seminars for engineers, architects, and contractors to raise awareness and create understanding of all existing and new applications where Hilti products, software, and services are relevant.
At the same time, learn about engineers’, architects’, and contractors’ future projects and explore potential business.
• Contributing towards the company’s growth and profitability through technical project management.
• Taking responsibility for focus project specification of Hilti products, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions.
This involves uploading and communicating specifications in Salesforce, working with the sales team to convert those specifications into sales and holding project meetings in conjunction with the local sales team.
• Provide technical support, training and advice to engineers, architects, customers and the sales team on all available software, services and products, consistent with the company's objectives and marketing strategy.
• Understanding of the digital technical resources and ability to explain their availability and use to our architects, engineers, customers, and sales team • Support marketing team with the development, launch and maintenance of software, services and products.

Understand your trade, specifiers and project types.
Know your relevant contact persons and their needs.
Apply decision making as per line and playbooks.

Master the applications in your trade.

Build competence through relevant products and services with the corresponding playbooks.

Be aware of the competition landscape and the possible impact on Hilti 5.
Effective planning of your day/week by focusing on call quality and cross specifying.
Prioritize “return on time invested”.
Prepare documents/specs with argumentations for the right contact person.
Take corrective actions if sales growth of technical products is not in line with targets.

Use SSS to drive sales of technical products, identify customer needs and opportunities.
Close deals and get specified.

Present and demo with value proposition of Hilti solutions.
8.
Create competitive specifications in value and quality.
Convert specs together with sales.
9.
Drive cross functional collaboration with sales on top customer level and focus projects.
Feed information to technical marketing.
Engage in the workflow with ECC/PMO.

Ensure data quality in our SFDC to enable digital marketing.
Identify opportunities within your specifier platform, construction services and software solutions.
Execute visits to specifiers and joint rides with salesperson.
