Our Solutions Architects team is seeking candidates to join our AWS team in San Jose - Costa Rica, focused on the Central American market, with a variety of skills to help shape and deliver on our strategy for our global customers and partners.
As a solutions architect, you will be on the front line of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for organizations ranging from start-ups to large, enterprise customers.
You will be a trusted customer advocate, helping our partners understand advanced -based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads.
Have a strong understanding of computing solutions.

You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new skills.
You will help identify areas of existing architectural collateral that are incorrect or need updating in order to ensure customers can create world-class solutions built on AWS.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Technical degree desired; Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Great communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly; ability to think abstractly.
Knowledge of scripting languages and coding skills (C/C++/C#, Node.
S, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby).
- English fluent, written and verbal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud - Experience in one or more of the following areas.
software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
Experience with design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, such as Elastic Compute Cloud, Elastic Block Storage, and Simple Storage Service.
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
Experience with solution-selling methodologies.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certifications desired.
Other public cloud provider’s certifications are also welcome.
