SENIOR QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER - ANDROID

Project description Open Video project is focused on developing an OTT platform for one of the largest North American TV providers.
nWe are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to ensure software quality through automated testing.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing automated test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and verifying fixes to ensure a seamless user experience.
nThe ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with development and QA teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities tReview system specifications and define test requirements.
tDevelop, execute, and maintain automated test cases, ensuring thorough validation.
tIdentify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers for resolution.
tConduct functional, regression, and performance testing to assess software quality.
tPerform post-release validation and troubleshooting to ensure stability.
tOptimize testing processes, suggesting tools and techniques for efficiency.
tWork closely with cross-functional teams to maintain quality across the development lifecycle.
tPrepare test reports and provide insights on product reliability.
SKILLS Must have tStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and report findings effectively.
tExperience in writing and executing test cases to ensure software quality.
tStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.
tExcellent planning, organizational, and follow-up abilities to manage tasks effectively.
tHands-on experience in testing Android platforms, ensuring functionality and performance.
tProficiency with version control and CI/CD tools, including Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
tFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
tDevelopment experience with Java and test automation frameworks, including Appium, Selenium, and Webdriver.
