Join our team in Querétaro as a Senior Payroll Tax and Compliance Lead ! As a Senior Payroll Tax and Compliance Lead, you will play a key role in auditing payroll records and executing post-payroll activities, such as payroll posting, account reconciliations, and maintaining Dayforce security, for our U.
., Puerto Rico, and Canadian teams.
Your expertise will ensure accurate tax and compliance processes, while your ability to manage multiple deadlines will be essential to your success.
You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, provide essential payroll insights, and maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information—all while upholding our SLA commitments with clear and effective communication.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING   Payroll Processing & Compliance Act as a backup for payroll processing, including disability, leave, and pay adjustments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, responding to time-sensitive legal matters.
Audit & Accuracy Conduct weekly audits to guarantee payroll accuracy and prepare materials for internal audits.
Support Sarbanes-Oxley 404 certification, manage tax adjustments, and oversee quarterly and year-end activities like W-2s and T4s.
Financial Management Process tax registrations and journal entries, manage GL postings, and provide reporting to budget owners.
Oversee the U.

IES budget, deliver expense forecasts, and work to maintain financial targets.
Process Improvement & Training Train new payroll processors and conduct regular Dayforce security audits.
Identify and standardize payroll procedures for efficient audit compliance.
Communication & Confidentiality Handle high-priority and sensitive payroll issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
Ensure timely responses to payroll inquiries, participate in bi-weekly HR calls, and support employees with payroll and tax questions.
Taxes Ensure timely tax return filings and compliance with legislative requirements.
Reconcile tax payments, stay updated on tax legislation, and maintain payroll tax records.
Advise on tax and pay laws, prepare tax certificates for employees, and generate reports for audits.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS   Basic Requirements.
Applicants are required to have a completed bachelor's degree 3+ years of payroll experience or similar role Intermediate accounting skills with large spreadsheet reconciliation focus Advanced communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities Ability to interpret complex legal, tax, and compliance information Commitment to confidentiality with sensitive employee data   Preferred Qualifications.
