nAs a Systems Administrator at Luxoft you will be responsible for the implementation and management of our clients IT infrastructure, covering Windows, Linux and networks.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of systems and servers.
Responsibilities 1.
Server Management.
n- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems.
- Install, update, and patch server software and applications.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.

Security and Compliance.
n- Implement security best practices to safeguard servers and network infrastructure.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system hardening.
n3.
User Account Management.
n- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and access permissions.
- Provide technical support to users for account-related issues.
n4.
Backup and Recovery.
n- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical data and systems.
- Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
n5.
Hardware and Software Procurement.
n- Assess hardware and software requirements, research vendors, and make recommendations for procurement.
- Install and configure hardware components, including servers, storage, and peripherals.
n6.
Documentation and Reporting.
n- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security.
n7.
Technical Support.
n- Provide second-level technical support to resolve complex issues escalated from the helpdesk.
- Collaborate with service desk personnel to ensure timely issue resolution.

Monitoring and Alerts.
n- Implement system monitoring tools and configure alerts for proactive issue identification.
- Respond to and resolve critical system alerts in a timely manner.
SKILLS Must have Linux Administration.
- 5+ years as a Linux System Administrator, SRE, or similar role in finance industryn- Strong knowledge of Linux server OS (Oracle or RedHat) – system builds, maintenance (on-prem and AWS Cloud)n- System upgrades and improvementsn- Good troubleshooting skills with Linux and related softwarennCloud & AWS.
Strong foundation in AWS (console, CLI, main services and cloud administration)nnAutomation & Tools.
Proficiency in automatic Linux provisioning, PuppetnMonitoring tools.
