enior Advanced Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionThe Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of manufacturing processes into an industrial plant.
The Senior AME develops, implements, and improves manufacturing strategies by utilizing their knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
They create plans that optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
The Senior AME uses product requirements to create specifications and options for tooling and equipment and then works with vendors to procure, install, and implement into the manufacturing facility.
rovide direct input to the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) by doing the following.
rovide manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes, and quality concerns.
evelop process flow and plant layout requirements.
eview product gaging and packaging strategies and assess the impact of those assumptions on the overall manufacturing strategy.
efine capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of the program.
roject manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment and tooling.
acilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility and any corresponding technical training.
omplete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks.
ssess the product, process, equipment, and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manage action items to resolve.
upport customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate, and internal process sign-offs.
reate and support continuous improvement projects.
