Job Overview TE Connectivity’s SAP Administration Team is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and robust physical design of our SAP environments.
As we continue to build a world-class Global Application Solutions (GAS) team, we are committed to tackling some of the most complex strategic challenges, driving top-line growth, and enhancing operational efficiency across our business.
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with expertise in HANA Database management to join our Global Application Solutions team.
In this role, you will lead the installation and maintenance of our SAP environments, serving as the primary liaison with our Basis support partner.
Your role will involve close collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the organization, playing a pivotal part in advancing the mission of our GAS team.
Responsibilities •    Oversight of SAP and HANA DB Environments.
Report directly to the Basis Manager, taking ownership of our SAP and HANA database environments.
•    Installation and Maintenance.
Plan, execute, and manage the installation, upgrades, and patching of SAP and HANA systems.
•    Stakeholder Collaboration.
Work closely with Project Managers, Process Leads, and other key stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are fully met.
•    Database Stability and Monitoring.
Maintain database stability through regular backups and restores, monitoring disk allocations, troubleshooting performance issues, adjusting parameters, and overseeing overall system utilization.
•    Change Management.
Plan and implement SAP and database changes within the framework of ServiceNow change management procedures.
Ensure that all necessary audit information is accurately collected for change tickets.
•    Audit Compliance.
Define, collect, and present audit information for review by internal and external auditors.
•    Knowledge Management.
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge articles detailing standard procedures and best practices.
•    Expertise in SAP HANA.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of SAP HANA, including familiarity with SAP notes, and managing SAP support tickets.
•    AWS Cloud Support.
Be prepared to learn and provide support for our HANA environment both on-premise and in the AWS cloud.
•    Any other relevant Database experience will be a plus   What your background should look like.
Experience / Qualifications  •    8+ years as a SAP Basis and HANA DB experience, preferably in an organization supporting enterprise applications.
•    Problem solving and root cause identification skills •    Experience in HANA Database administration is a must •    HANA, Oracle, SQL Server experience is a plus •    Understanding of and experience Database architecture, Disaster Recovery procedures  •    Ability to work across an organization, share success, and build a culture that embraces change and growth.
