QUALITY TECHNICIAL INSPECTION

General responsibilities
Quality Specialists perform inspection and testing activities, prepare test reports according to instructions and procedures, and maintain quality data in the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system. They serve as internal auditors, and they collect and maintain statistical data to enhance process control.

Essential Responsibilities
Maintain quality data within the SAP enterprise resource planning system, QA test database, and other data records as needed.
Perform incoming inspection of materials, parts and subassemblies manufactured by outside suppliers per BIW drawings, specifications, and quality control plans.
Maintain Statistical Process Control charts on key product characteristics.
Participate in the internal audit process as a Support Auditor under guidance of a Lead Auditor to monitor the health of the BIW quality management system.
Document product and process nonconformances via SAP Quality Notifications. Monitor progress and close QNs when appropriate.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Understanding of mathematics to include arithmetic, geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to use mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and optical comparators.
The ability to safely perform basic electrical tests using voltohmmeters and highpotential voltage testing machines.
One to two years onthejob experience utilizing basic inspection and testing concepts.
English intermediate level
