PRODUCT ENGINEER

Please share your resume in English  The Healthcare Business Unit has an opportunity for a Product Engineer (PE).
We are looking for a passionate and talented individual who will own the product engineering /  management in USMCA and develop the market together with Sales/Business.
Development function and with support from corresponding functions of HC-BU globally.
You will  report directly to the Head of Product Management & Engineering of the Healthcare Business Unit.
The products in scope are connectivity solutions and cable assemblies for the healthcare-/medical device market.
While the bulk cable can either be sourced on the market or developed and produced according to requirements by Bizlink's bulk cable production facilities, the selection of connectors and the final product design is the key task in product engineering.
Within this role, you will assess opportunities together with sales and business development, engineer products, support production and troubleshooting, facilitate technical customer discussions, build product roadmap(s) and follow the product through its full life cycle until end-of-life.
You will make sure the product delivers on customer expectations, and on all key business metrics.
Responsibilities.
Developing technical optimization and business solutions for customer requirements in coordination with the line manager.
Carry out constructive processing/modification of products and individual elements, prepare price enquiries and technical statements.
Technical product responsibility.
Compiling production times, if necessary, in close coordination with the production areas.
Initiating the procurement of materials and services via requirement notifications.
Document control for the customers;  document center (standards).
Implementation and documentation of change management.
Production and prototyping support in project work (international).
Creation of product-related work instructions and production drawings Introduction of new components and support in processing technology with the relevant specialist departments.
Planning and adapting test specifications.
Approval of products, materials, design documents, drawings and non-design-compliant products in coordination with the specialist department / customer.
Purchasing, sales and development support.
Customer support and customer visits.
Technical support for new and existing projects.
Developing, implementing and realizing Design To Cost (DTC) in the area of responsibility.
Articulate market trends, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape and translate those into a report as a proposal.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, operations, and customers to identify market trends and continuously improve product quality to ensure that our products provide value and meaningful experiences for our customers.
Work effectively with global sales teams to build out and execute the sales strategy.
Build collaborative relationships with customers, users, and stakeholders to understand their problems and communicate our solutions.
Represent the product at trade shows; provide sales training and generate enthusiasm for the product.
Travel (~20%) in a role that truly has global impact.
Required Qualifications.
3+ years of Product Engineering/Management experience (ideally within cable and cable assembly business).
Ability to translate customer wishes and market needs into an innovative product and action items for all developments.
Experience with relevant design tools 2D/3D such as AutoCAD, Inventor or similar.
Self-reliant working style that is flexible and resilient.
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Very good computer skills with MS Office, especially with Excel.
Business fluent in written and spoken English; German language a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus; however, our focus will be  around experience.
Knowledge of the Healthcare market either.
Willingness to travel, part of the training will take place in Germany.
