PRODUCT CONTROL ANALYST 2 – EQUITIES / FINANCE C10 (MEXICO CITY)

El Analista 2 de Control de Productos es un puesto de nivel intermedio a cargo de garantizar la integridad, precisión y exactitud de los libros y registros bancarios en coordinación con el equipo de Finanzas.
El objetivo general de esta función es controlar y apoyar la integridad de datos y conciliación de libro mayor, atribución de ganancias y análisis de nuevas actividades, control de valoración y pérdidas y ganancias de productos, e informes de balance.
Responsabilidades.
Controlar, evaluar y analizar los procesos y datos.
Identificar brechas en el proceso y problemas de control.
Redirigir anomalías y problemas con eficiencia y puntualidad.
Interpretar datos, identificar inconsistencias a través de la investigación y recomendar soluciones según el análisis.
Desarrollar conocimientos sobre cómo interactúa el equipo con otras personas para lograr las metas de Finanzas.
Desarrollar un conocimiento básico de las prácticas y normas de la industria.
Intercambiar información compleja, de manera breve y discreta.
Evaluar adecuadamente el riesgo cuando se toman decisiones comerciales, demostrando una consideración particular por la reputación de la empresa y protegiendo a Citigroup, sus clientes y activos, al impulsar el cumplimiento de las leyes, las reglas y los reglamentos correspondientes, acatando la política, aplicando un juicio ético sólido en relación con el comportamiento personal, la conducta y las prácticas comerciales y escalando, administrando e informando los problemas de control con transparencia Calificaciones.

Job Description.
Currently, the Equity Markets Product Control area is seeking an analyst to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your analytical skills and increase your knowledge of how equity and equity derivative products are traded and utilized in financial markets.
The candidate will be placed within a team that supports the North American Equities Trading business.
In this role, the candidate will be exposed to various equity based products, as well as the income statement and balance sheet reporting of these products, additionally the candidate will work closely with traders to understand risk based attributions of the reporting while providing daily written and verbal commentary on the business and market dynamics impacting these numbers.
Alongside the reporting the candidate will be asked to detect, and remediate various efficiency based projects, while collaborating with various functions across the Citi team.
Responsibilities include.
• Daily Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis and reporting • Utilize the front office risk system’s Profit Attribution Analysis (PAA) to help explain the daily PnL movements for the day and ensure daily trading movements are accurate • Preparation of market commentaries to explain significant P&L movements and events • Reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet during month end close • Networking with other areas of Finance to ensure policies and procedures are consistently adhered to • Collaborating with cross functional teams, including front office, market risk, and operations to resolve open risks • Performing analysis for ad hoc requests regarding regulatory, valuation, risk and operational concerns.
Requirements • Four year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or other related disciplines • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or related work experience in an accounting or finance department.
