he Plant Head is a crucial and multifaceted role responsible for the overall management, operations, and performance of steel manufacturing processes.
The role demands a well-rounded skill set that combines technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong focus on operational excellence.
ob Responsibilities.
perations Management.
versee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Bar Mill, Tube Mill, and Wire Mill to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
oordinate with various departments including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics to achieve production targets and maintain product quality.
roduction Planning.
evelop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize output while meeting customer demands and quality standards.
onitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to address any issues or bottlenecks.
uality Control.
stablish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that the produced steel products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
mplement quality assurance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
ealth, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
nsure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements within the plant.
mplement and promote a culture of safety awareness and best practices among all employees.
aintenance and Reliability.
ollaborate with the maintenance department to ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing production efficiency.
mplement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of machinery and equipment.
udget and Cost Management.
evelop and manage budgets for the plant's operations, including expenditures for equipment, maintenance, labor, and other resources.
onitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining operational excellence.
eam Leadership.
ead and manage a diverse team of employees, including supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.
oster a positive work environment, encourage employee growth, and address any performance or personnel issues.
ontinuous Improvement.
dentify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements.
mplement lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
esired Profile.
ducational Background.
A bachelor's degree in Engineering.
An advanced degree or relevant certifications can be beneficial.
xperience.
Significant experience in steel manufacturing operations and good knowledge of SMS, AOD including hands-on experience in bar mills, tube mills, and wire mills.
Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role is essential.

In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies
