PAYROLL ANALYST

Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
Interprets pay policies, (e.
., vacation, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.
May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation.
Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff.
Responsibilities.

Payroll of process and settlements 2.
Prepare accruals (Vacation, Christmas Bonus, Payroll, Taxes, Seniority Premium, etc.) 3.
Prepare journals accounting.
4.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations 5.
Prepare all kinds of reports and Payroll analysis required for internal and external use.
6.
Good understanding of SOX Compliance (Internal Controls) 7.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and respond quickly to changing priorities 8.
Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements 9.
Support with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation.
10.
Ensure that payroll operations are carried out in compliance with policies and procedures.
What are we looking for? · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in accounting · Strong conceptual and analytical thinking ability · Strong team player, willing to take challenges · Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information · 2 to 5 years relevant experience · Payroll/Accounting related expertise · Highly motivated, customer focused, well organized and attention to detail · Knowledge of LFT LIMSS, LISR · Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software · Solid knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations.
