N Position Type Management JOB SUMMARY   The Guide, Nutrition will work with exercise physiologists, mindset coaches, spa and wellness practitioners in a luxury resort setting, while leveraging evidenced-based content and technology deliver the best practices in nutrition.
Guests enjoy health coaching, 1.
nutrition, fitness, meditation and mindset sessions, body treatments, educational lectures, and a variety of outdoor activities – all designed to expand awareness and connection.
The Sensei Guide works in multidisciplinary collaboration and is responsible for managing and coordinating activities of each guests’ wellness journey.
This position is an integral leader of the guest experience, leveraging data, self-awareness, self-efficacy, and safety to deliver guided sessions.
Combining spaces and environments to imbue feelings of safety and ease; domain expertise to interpret objective data and craft a personalized wellness plan; and health coaching to communicate this information in an empowering, affirming manner.
Sensei has designed the guide program to manage the guest experience by supporting our guest in achieving greater wellbeing.
CANDIDATE PROFILE    Education and Experience • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university • 7+ years of experience in the field of nutrition • Previous experience in some coaching capacity • Registered Dietitian, Graduate Degree in Nutrition, Integrative Nutrition, Holistic Herbal Wellness or related field.
• Recognized certification in wellness coaching • Passion to empower individuals seeking to optimize health and lifestyle • Passion for continuing education, professional development and personal growth • Proficient in Apple iOS, Office 365, and/or reservation systems • Efficient time management • Demonstrates professional written and verbal communication • Prepared to create educational content • Demonstrates characteristics of leadership, professionalism, service to others • Experience in hospitality and destination travel a plus • Passion to empower individuals seeking to optimize health and lifestyle • Friendly and outgoing personality, works well with others • Works well with people and possesses a friendly and outgoing personality • Characteristics of leadership, professionalism, and service to others • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills • Must be able flexible hours and work weekends, and holidays • Friendly demeanor, great smile, energetic, calm, and empathetic • Able to make sound decisions when in a stressful situation • Organized and able to prioritize • Must be able to have flexible hours and work weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses/Certifications •Registered Dietitian, Graduate Degree in Nutrition, Integrative Nutrition or related field.
•Recognized certification in wellness coaching   CORE WORK ACTIVITIES   Supporting Management of Spa Operations and Budgets • Ensures all employees have the proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
• Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the financial management of department.
• Manages supplies and equipment inventories within budget.
• Maintains cleanliness of spa and related areas and equipment.
• Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and managing to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Ensuring and Delivering Exceptional Customer Service • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Handles guest problems and complaints.
• Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focusing on continuous improvement.
• Strives to improve service performance.
Conducting Human Resources Activities • Solicits employee feedback, utilizing an “open door” policy and reviewing employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
• Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
• Brings issues to the attention of the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.
• Observes service behaviors of employees and providing feedback to individuals.
• Participates in employee progressive discipline procedures.
• Participates in an on-going employee recognition program.
• Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
• Supports a Spa orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
• Supervises on-going training initiatives and conducting training when appropriate.
• Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensuring employees do the same within the team.
• Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.
• Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Process.
• Assists the Spa Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the spa as necessary.
