Start your future with BorgWarner now! Job purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an  eHW Engineering Supervisor at our San Luis Potosi MPEC Technical Center.
In this role, The eHW Engineering Supervisor will be primarily responsible for staffing and managing a team of engineering specialists in electronics, specifically for use in power electronics HW applications.
Will be expected to oversee the technical architecture and execution of his team and deliver to the project timeline and OEM Milestones.
Will ensure that BorgWarner’s electronics Hardware products are properly specified, designed and tested to meet customer performance requirements.
Finally, will couch his team accordingly and provide external training as necessary.
Key responsibilities Technical oversite of power electronics, electrical hardware architecture engineers.
Plan, direct, and coordinate efforts of the power electronics team to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Help deliver design work products and launch final product.
Manage and prioritize the workload of the team and related resources.
Maintain visibility of workload to engineering organization.
Review Carrer plan during Engineering Development Cycle Processes.
Able to plan and follow up employee personal and global goals.
Matching of team’s career growth needs, with the available training and job-assignment opportunities.
Recruitment of new employees and retention of existing.
Create standard work processes, and design templates & guidelines for power electronics / electronics products Communicate and deploy safe work procedures.
Identification of FuSa potential cause and effect issues.
Review and follow up FuSa issues from Assessment results.
Ensure that team resources, skills and knowledge are available to meet project needs.
Review and resolve priority task conflicts within the team.
Provide a first line of escalation for competency and resource team issues.
Facilitate clear and open communication within the team.
Be a technical leader in the competency development field.
Define, develop and maintain technical guidance documentation for development roles within the group.
What we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
Preferrable Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Minimum 6+ years electronics engineering experience required with a minimum of 3+ years specific to electronics hardware design.
Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Automotive experience strongly preferred.
Familiar with requirements gathering and management tools such as Polarion and JIRA.
Experience of working within an ASPICE based process environment Excellent soft skills and highly exposed to teamwork.
Determines best techniques/procedure and applies for analysis, design, or experimental procedures.
Documents and shares best-practices.
Mentors the less experienced; role model for BW Beliefs.
Works under minimal supervision.
Willingness/ability to travel 10% both domestically and internationally.
Process focused with good communication skills.
Experience delivering a project with functional safety (ISO) requirements.
Basic electric motor system experience.

Knowledge in ASPICE Development Process Technical advisor for his team during peer reviews and circuit development stages.
Able to robust test scenarios during development of test cases.
