Responsibilities Purpose of the position This position is part of the Production Management of Seals and Bushings and its purpose is to develop and implement technical improvements in the production processes through the creation of procedures, instructions, visual aids, devices and tooling that support the fulfillment of the goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Costs; establishing process times and monitoring their compliance; Maintain a close monitoring of the timely supply of tools and/or tooling required in each of the processes.
Key responsibilities.
- Responsible for developing process time and capacity studies; analyzing downtime, causes and finding solutions for the reduction of downtime.- Works in conjunction with the Production Supervisor in the balancing of lines in order to achieve continuous flow of materials and productivity.- Responsible for reviewing process routes, ensuring that they are logically sequenced, complied with and that the information contained is complete and up to date.- Responsible for identifying the proper tooling for the production of the products on each production line; also, responsible for ordering and following up on timely arrival.- Is responsible for developing visual aids, process sheets, flow charts, process AMEF's and/or all the necessary documentation for the traceability of the production processes.- Responsible for training production floor collaborators and Group Leaders, in each of the processes and best practices installed, every time the production processes undergo any modification.
- He is responsible for the development, updating and analysis of "LayOut" in order to seek improvements in the plant layout for the best use of the areas inside and outside the plant, eliminating unnecessary routes and optimizing spaces.- Works together with the Quality and Production area to look for alternatives that allow the reduction of waste, as well as the increase of productivity, in each production line.- Responsible for keeping the backup copy of the CNC programs of all part numbers up to date.- He is responsible for verifying the correct use and effective maintenance of tools, equipment and facilities used in the processes.
- In charge of following up on the application of the 6 S's methodology in all production lines and areas of the plant under his responsibility.- He is responsible for the continuous review of processes in order to identify improvement opportunities to take advantage of equipment, labor and process time.- Development of improvement projects such as ANDON SYSTEMS, KANBAN, KAIZEN, SMED, ERGONOMICS, LOCK OUT- TAG OUT, ETC., that allow to obtain better results in the processes.
Qualifications TECHNICAL SKILLS.
