enior technical expert in the area of wind blade manufacturing.
Recognized knowledge leader in the area of composites manufacturing with direct and applicable knowledge on wind blade production processes to include, but not limited to infusion, composite repair, composite inspection, cycle time analysis, process troubleshooting, composite blade failure, Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA), and design for manufacturability (DFM).
ssential Duties and Responsibilities.
rovide technical leadership in wind blade manufacturing, supporting TPI's diverse factory and customer portfolio.
rive process improvement and best practices to reduce risk and increase profitability in our operations.
ead technical initiatives with the support of a distributed team to achieve critical technical goals.
upport the creation of global standards, documentation, and processes to drive consistency in operations, to ensure safety, improve quality, and reduce risk.
upport/lead the Customer Warranty Team to ensure the required technical communication and documentation within the organization and with the customer.
upport RCCAs remotely or by inspecting the blade on site.
upport/lead the site engineering team with customer technical communications.
rovide technical leadership for TPI's local/site-based engineering teamsShare knowledge and experience in the area of wind blade manufacturing.
upport activities at sites, reviewing processes, guiding decisions, and supporting development of composites knowledge.
e a resource to ensure decisions are made with necessary knowledge and support.
upport TPI's internal audit functionSupport internal reviews of TPI's manufacturing facilities ensuring adherence to all safety, quality, and customer requirements.
evelop facility and process risk assessments outlining areas of improvement and driving changes to support TPI's core values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
nsure processes and approaches found in TPI facilities are aligned with customers' design intent.
upport new material evaluation, approval, and introduction to manufacturing sites.
upport customer-specified design trials and technical contact.
upport the technical aspects of all manufacturing launches of new/revised products or requirements.
upport continuous improvement including process, material, equipment, and documentation.
upport directly and through the team the product transfers from one site to another.
erform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
ducation/Skills/Experience.
he successful candidate will possess the following requirements.

degree in Engineering required.
inimum 10 years related composites experience required with a minimum of 7 years wind blade composite experience.
aizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
omputer proficiency.
AD/CAM proficiency is a plus.
initab proficiency is a plus.
