Descripción del puesto The IT Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions.
Avaya is looking for an IT BA to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate those requirements into technical specifications for our IT technical teams.
The IT BA will work on our opportunity to cash systems, ensuring the IT projects align with business objectives, enhances business process efficiency, and provides strategic value to the organization.
The analyst will work closely with the development and QA teams, providing clear specifications and assisting in understanding customer requirements during the development and testing phases.
The analyst will provide requirements walkthroughs in system design sessions, wireframes, data analysis outputs and other detailed deliverables.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate easily with many stakeholders producing detailed project specific specifications, emails, and other documents.
As an IT BA, you will be required to.
Facilitate the negotiation and prioritization of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders using various means such workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather information.
Act as an information source and communicator between stakeholders effectively always ensuring cross functional alignment using various means including email, channels, shared workspaces, meeting recordings.
Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
Identify and document current and future state business processes, needs and objectives.
Create process workflows, presentations, use cases, scenarios, workflows, and UI mockups.
Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders so that they will approve requirements.
Evaluate and analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate/decompose high-level information into details, abstract up/simplify from low-level information to a general understanding so that the IT team can clearly understand the business need.
Work with the IT teams to estimate to various degrees the effort and cost associated with all requirements.
Work with the IT development team to ensure that they understand the business requirements and help them to deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
Facilitate QA and UAT handovers.
Communicate and agree requirements change, scope change with all stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform data analysis.
Manage and organize project artifacts effectively.
Be able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Work independently with cross functional team under the guidance of senior Business Analysts Assist in project planning, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress and help identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
Support project managers in tracking milestones, deliverables, and ensuring projects stay on track.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Requisitos Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis with proven analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience with analysis or modelling tools.
Excellent data analysis skills.
Experience managing stakeholders.
Experience in any of the following.
SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, SalesForce.
om, marketing automation and customer data platforms.
Experience with SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) & Finance (FI) modules will be added advantage.
Experience with Atlassian Confluence, JIRA.
Experience with Visio, Diagram.
et, Signavio or BIC platform modeling tools.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Ability to problem solve and apply methodologies to prepare detailed specifications using case statements or user stories.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process mapping using BPMN, use case diagrams, and data modeling.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills and the ability to interact professionally with many different types of stakeholders.
UI/UX prototyping skills.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an IT related field 5 years minimum experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within IT or a technology-driven environment.
