Head of Legal & Compliance provides legal counsel, strategic guidance and support on all legal matters, and working closely with Hilit Korea management team and the North Asia Legal & Compliance team Who is Hilti? WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE? Responsibilities - Responsible for overseeing negotiation on and drafting of various contracts/agreements including services, strategic supply, distribution, marketing, sales - Proactively assess legal risks to the business and work with management to devise and implement policies and procedures to address and manage the risk including preventative actions, trainings and communications - Provide legal input and guidance on company policies and procedures in alignment with the Code of Conduct.
This includes advising management on any new policies or required changes to existing policies and creating appropriate training for management and employees on such policies and participating in disciplinary panels related to the Company’s policies and procedures - Be the local compliance officer, provide sound guidance on and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations applicable to the operations of Hilti Korea, including any relevant industry codes in collaboration with Regional Compliance Officer - Manage all litigation, dispute resolution, and internal and external investigations related to the business - Support corporate housekeeping of Hilti Korea together with external law firms and HQ Corporate team - Perform all other legal and compliance works as required together with the North Asia Legal & Compliance team We’re proud to be ranked in Great Places to Work as one of the world's best multinational workplaces.

WHAT YOU NEED IS.
Qualifications - Juris Doctor or LLM, equivalent law degree - License to practice law either in Korea or US (preferred) - At least 10 years of post-qualification experience - Fluent in written and spoken English - Self-starter with strong drive for results and strong sense of ownership - Business oriented; ability to proactively engage with business to find practical solutions and partner with them to implement desired actions and create compliant growth for the business - Judgment capability, business consultative skills, and structural thinking process - Ability to work independently and effectively across all levels of a matrixed organization WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?
