Your role and responsibilities The RA Head of Integrity (“HOI”) is responsible for the Integrity, Investigations, Regulatory Affairs and Data Privacy (“Integrity”) portfolio of the Business Area (BA).
The HOI is accountable for leading and executing the integrity program for the Business Area in close collaboration with the Group Integrity team.
The HOI reports into the Business Area General Counsel and works closely with the BA management teams to oversee a program that is fit for purpose for the Business Area and the divisions.
Location for the role is flexible from Europe to Asia.
Working model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.
• Execute Group strategies in a manner that aligns with RA strategic business objectives, lead the RA Integrity Team, define the development and implementation of programs, processes and strategies to promote an overarching culture of integrity and compliance within the business.
• Assess integrity insights, progression of stabilizing integrity culture, and develop an action plan for addressing integrity issues identified, reporting regularly to the Business Area leadership.
• Design and develop processes to effectively manage Integrity operational topics (third party management approvals, due diligence screening, KYC, ABAC risk, trade compliance risk, donations/sponsorship/Conflict of interest) in the Business Area.
• Advise, counsel and supervise team members on all Integrity, Regulatory and Data Privacy matters, lead all BA Integrity related litigation, disputes, and regulatory investigations.
• Develop a learning and change management strategy in collaboration with other BA functional teams to lead on integrity culture.
• Oversee Business Area monitoring of processes such as third party management, conflict of interest disclosures and integrity engagement metrics.
• Oversee BA internal investigations (low risk cases and human resources) in accordance with the investigations framework.
• Assist and facilitate remediation of findings arising out of investigations, audits and other compliance reviews.
Qualifications for the role Law Degree from a reputable law school and familiarity with integrity and compliance legal issues in both common law and civil legal systems, or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years’ post qualification experience (PQE) in a major law firm, or in-house or preferably a combination of both and demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to build and lead a high performing legal team.
Experience working across many jurisdictions simultaneously and providing advice and counsel at senior executive level.
Experience in client representation before the DOJ and SEC is preferred, otherwise, any other experience in complex litigation, audit and investigations experience.
Specific expertise on driving integrity programs and compliance in China.
Sound judgment in implementing and administering legal strategies and solutions.
Results-oriented professional with strong common sense and superior business acumen.
Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze complex business information and work with other counsel to assess risk and provide resolutions or recommendations.
Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships.
Experience in change management and transformation is preferred.
Excellent written, interpersonal and analytical skills are required.
Fluency in English (including writing and advising on legal documentation) is required.
