Services Operations & Maintenance is looking for a highly experienced engineer with advanced skillsets in hardware validation, solution deployment, and customer maintenance support.
Demonstrate advance knowledge in Fiber Optic Networking, to include Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking.
Deployed solutions may include Fujitsu products and/or 3rd party vendor products.
Candidate must have excellent customer service soft-skills, and be able to work in fast pace environment, via the phone.
Accountabilities.
Troubleshoot network issues via telephone while using video conference tools Must have exceptional customer service soft skills Develop, document, and execute validation test plans on hardware, software, plug-ins, and operating system Perform health check on all the hardware and software components · Develop, document, and execute automated test scripts in a lab and production environment Perform software and hardware upgrades in a lab and production environment Develop and document hardware and software baseline configurations Develop MOPs in a lab and production environment Willing to work any shift in a 24x7x365 operations environment, to include weekends and holidays Perform hardware and software installation in a lab and production environment Qualifications Required.
4+ Years with working experience in telecommunications Flexibility to work any shift, to include weekends and holidays Advanced knowledge in network virtualization and cloud technologies Advanced knowledge Fiber Optic Networking, with emphasis in SONET Advanced knowledge of telecommunication technologies (SDH, SONET, DWDM, OTN) Experience supporting new product deployments, test plan creation and execution Have understanding of Routing/Switching Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to successfully multi tasks while under pressure Detailed analytical abilities and technical writing skills Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, to include reading and writing Must be able to travel a 25% of the time, or as needed Desired.
Degree in Engineering and 7+ years working experience Intermediate to advance knowledge in Fujitsu Telecommunication Products Cisco and/or Juniper Routing/Switching Certifications Comfortable performing product vendor evaluations Experience with server installation and server management Languages.
