As the Software Group Design Leader for lidar your main focus will be to drive the lidar SW rollout in multiple architectures and vehicle programs.
You are also skilled in driving synergies between product variants to keep the product rollout cohesive.
To achieve this, you are a key person in aligning and bringing out the best of our development teams of high skilled engineers and our suppliers and partners.
Part of your work also includes updating our internal systems related to KPI visualization, reporting, issue management, and showing that the lidar is developed, integrated and verified with quality before releasing to our vehicle programs and customer cars.
You will ensure that the supplier teams follow the same plan as our Volvo Cars teams, keep track of the change request process and be on top of our day to day deliveries.
You will also work with our part number structure and coordinate the time plans together with Product Owner, development teams and relevant suppliers.
To excel at this, you are resourceful, a master communicator, and have technical background in the automotive sensing development.
Do you fit the profile? We are looking for an experienced engineering senior who is a curious, problem solving person with a true team player mindset.
You can create clarity for your development teams and the supplier to jointly deliver an amazing product on time and on cost.
You bring with you your experience and knowledge of lidar or other automotive sensing development and industrialization, service, calibration, diagnostics and sensor fusion.
You have a good understanding of the supplier’s technical capabilities, capacity and quality practices, so the supplier can bring their engineering excellence to the us, the customer.
In addition, you keep yourself updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to know how they can improve the end customer experience.
Furthermore, you have at least a M.
c within Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar.
You have at least 8 years in leading roles in automotive sensing.
You also have a proven track record of putting similar products into production.
Fluency in English and a valid B-driving licence is a prerequisite.
