GENERAL LEDGER MANAGER

Now we are hiring a General Ledger (GL) Manager within the Record to Report team who will have responsibilities on month end closing, reconciliation, reporting, audit, continuous improvements initiatives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger (GL) Manager to lead our Finance Shared Services team.
The GL Manager will oversee the general ledger accounting function, ensure the integrity of financial records, and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.
This role is instrumental in managing accounting activities, supervising the transition of activities to our Finance Shared Services, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Leadership and Management.
Lead and manage the General Ledger team, providing direction, performance management, and professional development opportunities to ensure a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and engagement.
Manage and monitor month end closing for all locations under GFSSC by following US GAAP and company policies and procedures.
Financial Reporting.
Supervise and monitor the load of financial data into OneStream, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage internal customers queries resolutions and ensure distribution of workload across all team members Resolve all escalated queries and disputes with appropriate stakeholders to maintain customer satisfaction and to drive GL processes such as posting of journal entries, ledger accounts and bank reconciliations and management of fixed assets administration, Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
Review and ensure the timely completion of balance sheet account reconciliations, analyzing discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure the intracompany reconciliation and contribute to the reduction of the aged items Process Improvement.
Lead initiatives to streamline accounting operations and improve financial controls.
Activities Transition Supervision.
Oversee the transition of accounting activities, ensuring smooth process handoffs and providing ongoing support and supervision Compliance and Reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Stakeholder Collaboration.
Work closely with various departments to resolve accounting issues, provide insights, and support financial decision-making.
Act as a key point of contact for resolving GL-related queries and issues.
Develop and provide training to the team - workshops, lessons learned sessions, and refresher programs related to the systems and tools implemented and used across the Finance function Follow up on projects/ initiatives, identify risks and obstacles to meet deadlines, as well as proposed corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures.
Support Global Process Owners Directors & FSSC Management when necessary.
Part of projects as per the Shared Services needs     REQUIREMENTS.
Skills / Experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
National or International accounting certification is preferred At least 5 years of experience in GL accounting or relevant finance roles, with a strong background in accounting and reporting; US GAAP knowledge is a plus Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Compliance and Ethics.
In-depth understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls, with a strong commitment to maintaining ethical practices and confidentiality Technical Expertise.
Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.
., SAP) and financial consolidation tools such as OneStream.
Strong Excel skills are essential GL transitions experience Excellent English skills - written + verbal; any other language will be a plus   Leadership Skills.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team Analytical Skills.
