The Executive Engagement Manager acts as a strategic partner in the Engagement team, taking on a wide range of responsibilities.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities 1.
Strategic planning.
The Executive Engagement Manager develops and implement strategic plans for the company, aligning them with the overall goals of AWS globally.
2.
Project management.
oversees critical projects and initiatives, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively, and keeping the VP informed of progress and any issues that arise.
3.
Communication and coordination.
facilitates communication between the VP and various departments, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards common objectives.
4.
Problem-solving.
identifies and resolves problems that may hinder the company's progress, working proactively to address issues before they escalate.
5.
Stakeholder management.
engages with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and AWS global leadership, fostering strong relationships and representing the VP when necessary.
6.
Meeting management.
manages the VP's schedule, prioritizing meetings and engagements, and ensuring that the VP is well-prepared for each interaction.
7.
Data analysis and reporting.
gathers and analyzes data to provide the VP with insights and recommendations for decision-making, and prepares reports on the company's performance.
8.
Special projects.
takes on special projects as assigned by the VP, which may include research, analysis, or the implementation of new initiatives.
9.
Acting as a trusted advisor.
serves as a confidential sounding board for the VP, offering advice, guidance, and support in navigating complex challenges and decision-making processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience - 3+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software - Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations - Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
