Enterprise Domain Architecture defines and maintains the Business Architecture and overall technical architecture for a specific business domain, such as Finance, Supply  Chain, or Commercial.
This includes identifying the key technical components, systems, and initiatives that comprise the domain, translating and adding to the central technical standards and guidelines that govern the development of solutions within the domain, and ensuring that individual solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture direction.
In addition to defining and maintaining the technical architecture, the Domain Architect use the deep understanding of the strategic objectives and goals of the specific business domain within Volvo Cars.
This understanding is crucial because it allows the Enterprise Domain Architect to align the domain architecture with the broader enterprise strategy.
By comprehending the enterprise's strategic direction, the Enterprise Domain Architect can ensure that the technical components and systems identified for the domain support and enable the achievement of the desired business outcomes.
Behaviour   Reviews Business Domain-wide work critically and ensures it’s appropriately broken down and prioritised across the organization.
Identifies dependencies across the Business Domain and works with individual teams to resolve them before they become an issue, and installs preventative measures to mitigate repeat occurrences.
Works across the organization to foster a culture of priority setting and urgency in alignment with organizational strategy.
Effectively handles risk, change, and uncertainty across the organization.
Decides and acts responsibly in their work across the organization without having the total picture during routine business, as well as when in high pressure situations.
Successfully manages organization-wide commitments, their progress, and roadmap to delivery.
Ensures expectations across the organization and external stakeholders are clarified between all parties involved.
When taking action, weighs cost and value in order to make the most economic action.
Uses this thinking in their own work, and to foster a culture within the organization where people apply economic thinking to make timely decisions.
Leadership   Takes ownership of decisions made across the Business Domain and assumes accountability for their outcomes.

Evaluates and creates new capabilities in collaboration with the product teams.
Contributes to roadmap refinement across teams.
Involved in decisions and plans around the organization’s engineering strategy, leading initiatives across teams to achieve alignment on major goals.
Deliberately focuses on areas based on what has the largest impact on business goals.
Foundation You are experienced in developing target architectures for complex Digital Solutions.
Based on your strong communication and collaboration skills, helping Volvo Cars development teams create and maintaining successful solutions underpinning our Business objectives.
Knowledge in areas like Cloud Native architecture, capability mapping, the value of architecture principles and how they help organizations is key for you to succeed.
Your skills also cover working with governance models to create guard-rails, and you have an understanding of the  impact of new business models.
A great interest, experience and good understanding of areas like architecture patterns, distributed architecture, scalability, identity management, cyber security, and data privacy, and other common components of the end-to-end architecture are also important.
