Job Description Bose Corporation is seeking an EMC / EMI Engineer to support the Validation of Audio amplifiers for Automotive applications.
We are looking for an individual who is driven by his curiosity and is willing to grow.
In this role, you will be responsible to review, perform and coordinate EMC validation tests as well as drive design efforts toward EMC compliance.
This EMC testing applies to all phases of the product life cycle (Advanced Development, Engineering Evaluation, Design Validation, Process Validation and Continuous Engineering) for automotive.
This is a “hands-on” position that will require the person to collaborate with a number of different engineering teams, from design to product release.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to.
Work with the Electrical Design team to continuously improve the EMC design of our amplifiers Coordinate EMC testing with both in-house and outsourced EMC test laboratories.
Coordinate the set-up of EMC tests to assure that all good EMC laboratory practices are being followed.
Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of EMC test equipment (such as spectrum analyzers and antennas).
Prepares compliance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing measurement data and trends.
Participate with the product designers in trouble-shooting EMC test failures Take a lead role in continuous improvement of the EMC lab processes, procedures and tools to enhance our test accuracy, efficiency and repeatability Must have the following skills, abilities and experience.
EMC testing experience in fast paced, client focused environment Experience working with CISPR25, ISO, ISO, and ISO standards is preferred.
Experience with ISO lab compliance.
Experience with Rodhe & Schwarz’s EMC32 measurement Software is preferred.
Automotive/OEM industry and a basic understanding of amplifier technology is desirable Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and written, concepts, ideas, and routine details to various levels of technical and non-technical engineering and management personnel.
Working knowledge of EMC circuits and methods.
Must be a self-starter who performs well under limited guidance; is detail-oriented, and has a strong commitment to project deadlines.
Must be fluent in English Must be open to domestic travel up to 15 % Qualifications.
