EHS ENGINEER

Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator

Objective of the Position
To control and manage activities related to Health, Safety, and Environment, promoting a culture of safety and awareness among workers through continuous training. Supervise the proper execution of organizational processes to ensure efficiency in accident and occupational disease prevention operations. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations from all government agencies STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, CONAGUA, Civil Protection, as well as state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

Investigate workplace accidents, identify causes, and implement corrective measures.
Conduct training in Health, Safety, and Environment and manage the budget for these functions.
Follow up on preventive and corrective actions arising from internal and external audits.
Act as the primary contact with STPS and SEMARNAT regarding safety and environmental issues.
Participate in planning the Quality Management System QMS, considering risks, opportunities, and stakeholder expectations.
Develop safety programs, policies, manuals, and emergency response plans supervise their implementation.
Keep updated documentation regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental information ISO 90012015, NOMs to ensure legal compliance.
Participate in problemsolving teams and follow up on assigned corrective actions until completion.
Conduct 5S audits and safety inspections in dining areas, infrastructure, and processes.
Raise organizational awareness about safety and conduct risk assessments of processes, machinery, and workstations.
Manage and provide Personal Protective Equipment PPE to work areas.
Develop the annual training plan in Safety according to applicable regulations.
Develop the annual drill program and coordinate the formation of safety brigades.
Requirements

Bachelors degree or Engineering.
Advanced English 80 spoken and written.
Experience

Minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
Coordination in Health and Safety.
Experience in risk analysis, planning, and project followup.
Knowledge

Advanced use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Skills

Management of hazardous waste and storage of hazardous materials CRETIB.
Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
Experience with SEDUMA COA paperwork and calculation of the accident rate premium.
Familiarity with international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Development of emergency response plans.
Proactive and methodical, with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Capacity to maintain good relationships with other departments.
