COST ACCOUNTANT

Provide direct support to the Plant controller. This requires accomplishing a variety of accounting and project management tasks, including but not limited to processing and managing journal entries, review and analysis of actual financial information as it relates to monthly financial reviews and forecasts, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet account management, SarbanesOxley compliance and the development of processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and value of the accounting department.

Support manufacturing operations by reviewing various aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, trend analysis, etc.
Analysis of capital projects and maintenance of Oracle fixed asset system.
Ensuring compliance with all SOX and Corporate Audit requirements.
Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations according to Danfoss financial policy.
Assist with the annual physical inventory and reconciliation.
Ensure ontime completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements.
Participate in monthend closing and forecast processes.
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures.
Assist with the annual profit planning process.
Support andor participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out andor demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals andobjectives.
Participate and provide support in cost outs and continuous improvement projects.
Support all activities related with accounts payable to ensure on time payment to suppliers and avoid accounts credit hold.
