Aerospace   POSITION SUMMARY.
Set up, operate, and program CNC Lathes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS.
Conduct all set-up operations in support of machining for self and others.
Set up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.
.
drawings, specifications, etc.).
Create, edit, and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute.
Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
Inspect and verify conformance of product to specifications, using a variety of inspection equipment such as gages, micrometers, indicators, shadowgraph, and micro-height.
Use manufacturing paperwork including travelers, blueprints, and sketches.
Meet time and schedule standards.
Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities.
Properly use the MRP system to record job information.
​​​​​​​ EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED.
5 years of relevant CNC machine experience.
Ability to read basic CNC lathe programs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
A firm understanding of CNC programs to include format and editing.
Ability to use various inspection gages.
Basic computer knowledge.
