About the Role In this opportunity as a Cloud Database Engineer, you will.
Design and implement optimized database structures for maximum performance on various platforms.
Optimize queries by tuning indexes, caching mechanisms, and other techniques.
Implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity.
Migrate existing databases to cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
Ensure compliance with best practices around security and access controls.
Automate processes using automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Webdriver IO.
Develop unit tests with JUnit or Pytest.
Utilize version control systems like GitLab CI/CD pipelines for efficient code management.
About You You’re a fit for the role of Cloud Database Engineer if your background includes.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of database structures and query optimization techniques.
Experience migrating legacy systems to cloud computing platforms like AWS or GCP.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in written form.
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail.
Self-motivated individual who can work independently within a team environment.
Working experience with Agile Methodology.
Certification in major database technologies such as Oracle Certified Professional DBA (OCPDBA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), PostgreSQL Certified Professional (PGCertP) or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
