Cloud Data Engineer Lead / Data Engineering Lead What can you expect? The Cloud Data Engineer Lead will lead a small team, and be part of a very talented large team building data ingestion and transformation pipelines in the cloud, resolving data processing and analytics issues, and developing tools and technologies to enhance the new data platform.

Conceptualize and implement a comprehensive, thoughtful, and best-in-class data ingestion and processing capabilities that will support and enhance our New Data Platform.
Provide technical leadership, leading the team to build reusable and scalable data pipelines and new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity Work in tandem with source system and application teams to integrate and establish data pipelines using Databricks, S3 and other AWS services.

and work closely with extended platform teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting and analytics capabilities Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity Actively contribute toward our culture of continuous learning by proactively identifying and evangelizing best practices globally.
What you need to have.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics 3+ years of relevant Data Ingestion/ETL/ELT, Big Data and Data Visualizations experience in mission-critical platforms.
Strong Python or Java development and SQL experience Experience with schema design and dimensional data modelling.
Experience working on AWS and related services (not limited to) such as Glue, Athena, S3.
Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing expectations and requirements(Agile) What makes you stand out? Strong AWS experience.
Prior experience working in insurance services.
Experience in Databricks Experience in Informatica data quality and governance tools.
