Job Description For CHEF DE CUISINE(HOZ) in Playa del Carmen,Mexico.
Description You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
The Chef de Cuisine is responsible to manage the assigned kitchen as an independent profit centre, in line with the outlet's operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet.

t least 5 years of related progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.

ualifications Minimum 2 years experience as Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef in a hotel or restaurant of good standards; preferably with experience in luxury international brands.
Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management will be an advantage.
Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.

aintain regular attendance in compliance with Hyatt standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
aintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working (per brand standards).
omply with Hyatt standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
omply with certification requirements as applicable to the position, including Food Handlers Safety, etc.
ave a thorough working knowledge of menus and the preparation required to produce the product according toEnsure the completion of necessary food and station preparations prior to open of the Restaurant in order to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently during operating hours.
ssist and supervise on kitchen line during operating hours to maintain the highest standards of efficiency, productivity, and quality; be able to support any position in the kitchen that needs help.
nsure that all food is prepared following Hyatt standard recipesEnsure that all employees practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to themselves or other employees.
nforce all hotel policies and house rules.
e familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures.
nsure that employees are at all times attentive, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and all other employees.
id in the security of food items and ensure the meat locker storeroom and walk-ins are locked when not in use.
nsure that the Employee Break room is kept orderly and clean.
aintain the high food quality standards in the kitchen and improve upon them.
aintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
ssist in training staff in the operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
ttend meetings as required by management.
erform any other duties as requested by the management.
dvanced conversational skills in Spanish and English, both in writing, speaking and reading.
