Job Duties and Qualifications Under broad direction from the Senior Geology Advisor and the Integrated Asset Management (IAM) senior management and with support from engineering and operations staff across all Halliburton product service lines (PSLs), the Geology Advisor works within a senior, multi- discipline petrotechnical team to develop and apply advanced interpretation techniques in support of the evaluation and development of potentially large, challenging oil and gas field development projects for potential investment by IAM.
The Geology Advisor will support prospect evaluation work by providing validation of preexisting interpretations as well as creating new interpretations (e.
., structure maps, isopach maps, cross sections, annotated bubble maps, etc.).
Role includes data analysis, mapping and modeling and identification of prospective basins, plays or trends.
Additional responsibilities for this role include supporting IAM senior management in defining standardized, best practice processes to support the systematic yet efficient and effective evaluation, well engineering, and field development planning work required as part of the project development process.
As part of the IAM formal evaluation process, incumbents will participate in formal brainstorming workshops with other key Halliburton technical resources in an environment that promotes innovation and input from all participants.
Requires an undergraduate degree in geology or geosciences and a minimum of 10 years of experience in production and new venture geology, which includes experience in an oil and gas operator.
