ACCOUNTANT (FIXED ASSETS/PROJECTS)

3 dias en oficina, 2 dias en casa Oficina.

Support daily and month-end close fixed asset activities in order to capitalize projects timely.
Provides accounting support and follows up for all project capitalization items but not limited to, asset management, project accounting, fixed assets accounting.
Tracks advance of every open project and provides indicators of completion.
Is able to work with the Business Divisions, that we provide service, and Manager to partner up and solve problems in a timely fashion.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities.
Daily and month end tasks could include but are not limited to; work closely with the job cost accountant to coordinate efficiently the end to end process of; Authorizations for Expenditure (AFE).
Monitor status of each project until projects are completed.
This includes monitoring of job cost system, reconciliations and various reporting needs.
Additional tasks including putting the assets into service in the ERP and processing disposals and transfers if needed.
Prepares journal entries from source documentation any necessary accruals.
This may include, but is not limited to, performing and reviewing calculations prepared by others, summarizing source data, evaluating reliability of source data and verifying account coding.
Provides accurate reporting to the Finance, Capital and Engineering team before month-end close and proactively speaks up if actions are needed to mitigate under-over statement in CIP.
Viewed as a subject matter expert on their accounting processes, and is able to work with Manager to provide assistance and resolution on accounting for new items and questions from multiple departments and levels.
Meets tight deadlines consistently and reliably, and is responsible for communicating any deadlines that may be missed to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with various groups of people.
Maintains process documentation and updates the documentation as processes change.
Follows Corporate policies and department Standard Operating Procedures.
Coordinates and executes activities associated with the ERP fixed asset module and advises and/or assists in its use as required.
Assists all Ball Packaging Operations facilities with the maintenance of fixed asset records including capitalizations, disposals and transfers.
Able to navigate and use ERP and other company systems.
Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
Responds to internal and external inquiries.
Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence.
While the regular working cycle of this position is usually 5 days on (Monday-Friday), this job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday); working hours may vary as specified by management.
Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
Position Requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities.
Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college level education.
Job related experience for 3 years minimum Speaks Portuguese basic Working knowledge of the following areas.
accounting principles, practices, nomenclature, procedures, excel, word, JDE preferred.
Ability to apply standard evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accounting techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize assigned responsibilities.
Works under close supervision with parameters set by management.
Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Ball Corporation manuals.
Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
Ability to operate and functionally use a computer and calculator Ability to meet deadlines, concentrate, and pay attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to make recommendations.
Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills.
Working Conditions.
Work in a Hybrid schedule Physical Requirements.
This position regularly requires a high degree of mental effort due to considerable interruptions and/or frequent changes of activity or workloads during a typical working day.
